Walker was born in 1976 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, United States of America. She is of African American origin, as well as an American. The daughter is Harvey Welker a Native American father, and Julie Welker an African-American mother. Her mother is a real estate agent while her father is engineer. Walker was educated in the Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown region, where she was able to graduate in 1994. After that, she went to Harvard College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Welker is since the age of 20 to John Hughes who is a prominent marketing director for Merck Philadelphia. They are parents to two kids. They began an affair during 2014, when they were together. John, John's husband is a year older than him.
