Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a celebrity who has strayed from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer every corner of the globe. Swift let go of the influences from her country music like they were an extra layer of skin, revealing she was among the finest singers/songwriters from her time. Swift could make the moment personal or harness it for her benefit. It was apparent from her first songs, especially in her neo pay homage to Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008) Swift revealed a singer/songwriter who was beginning to understand herself. Fearless was a huge success worldwide, not only in North America (where it was certified six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia as well as the U.K. and many other countries. Speak Now delivered almost two years later consolidated that success and moved Swift towards the top of fame. Swift's popularity continued to grow over her next three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) -- and saw her move confidently into a pop realm in which she was already a part. When she reduced her sound by releasing stripped-down albums like 2020, folklore, and Evermore but she was still on top. This position was maintained through re-recordings of her previous catalogue as in Midnights, her synth-heavy chart-topping 2022 album.
