Bashar Barakah Jackson (July 20th, 1999 - February 19, 2020) was professionally known in the form of Pop Smoke, was an American musician and rapper. Pop Smoke was signed by Victor Victor Worldwide and Republic Records. Working alongside UK drill producers 808Melo Axl Beats and Yoz Beatz Pop Smoke rose to popularity for leading the Brooklyn drill sound. Welcome to the Party, the title track from his mixtape debut Meet the Woo released in July 2019, was released by him in April 2019. Two remixes were created of Welcome to the Party in August 2019, featuring American hip-hop artist Nicki Minaj as well as British Rapper Skepta. Pop Smoke debuted his first mixtape Meet the Woo in 2019. In April of this year Pop Smoke dropped the track Welcome to the Party, the single that became his breakout track. In August, the track was remixed twice, first with Nicki Minaj featuring and another time featuring Skepta.
