Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had numerous talents, including being able perform, direct and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her productions as a young girl and watching her mom doing her job. Anna was a part of numerous commercials in her early years. Anna moved in Toronto in order to help her acting grow. Later, the actress moved to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her husband in the year 2009. They were married in a civil ceremony that December and they renewed their vows at a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton in April of 2011 after Anna's conversion to Judaism. Bo's sex-based romance with Lauren was featured in CNN's most popular TV Couples ever and named Top TV Couple 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's following on social media grew after the success of her show.
